In 2009, we moved our headquarters to Burwood after 32 years in Surry Hills. The move made us look back into our 126 years in Australia and feel proud of what we have accomplished.

Our volunteers give up their time willingly and regularly to provide first aid at events; or to assist young children struggling to learn to read; or help teenagers through the angst of the immunisation program.

On the other hand, every member of staff plays a role, either directly or indirectly, in the efficient management of the organisation – which in turn provides first aid to our community. Sometimes, the skills we teach, directly saves lives.

On 14 March, 2010, to celebrate all that, over 300 people came to Parramatta Park to participate in the St John (NSW) Walk&Talk.

The event raised $55,000 to contribute to the purchase of a communication bus for our first aid services volunteers at a cost of $180,000.

It will provide a mobile co-ordination role in major events and community emergencies throughout the state, facilitating the process of having our volunteer services at the right place at the right time, when they are needed.
