Why make a Bequest to St John? | But I've already written my will | Useful wording
Why make a Bequest to St John?
Making a bequest is simple and is not costly. There are two ways someone can make a bequest.
Please consult with a qualified legal professional to ensure your wishes can be properly incorporated in your will.
But I've already written my willPeople change their wills for a variety of reasons such as the birth of children, grandchildren or the loss of a loved one. Changing your will is a simple and relatively inexpensive procedure that a solicitor can easily arrange. Some people may prefer to purchase a will kit and complete the details themselves.
Useful wording
To include St John Ambulance in your will, we suggest you use the following wording.
I give to St John Ambulance (NSW) Inc. (ABN 84 001 738 370) the sum of $......... (or ........ percentage of my estate or ...... percentage of my residue of my estate) and declare that the receipt of its treasurer or other proper officer shall be sufficient discharge for my trustee.
