Workplace First Aid Risk Assessments

 

Working in a hairdressing salon poses different potential risks to those faced by an employee of a car-wrecking yard. Under the Occupational Health and Safety Regulation 2001, employers are required to identify the particular risks that your workplace poses.

 

Considerations include:

  • Size and layout of the workplace;
  • Number and distribution of employees;
  • Nature of hazards and severity of the risk; and
  • Location of the workplace.

 

St John assessors are fully conversant with the regulation and will undertake an onsite First Aid Risk Assessment to ensure you meet your obligations. Once a risk assessment has been completed, you need to ensure that appropriate First Aid facilities and suitably trained people are provided.
