Automated External Defibrillation

Course description

This course equips individuals, who have access to an Automated External Defibrillator, with the skills necessary to safely use it as part of a resuscitation attempt.

Course duration

Four (4) hours.

Content

• management of an unconscious casualty
• resuscitation techniques including CPR
• safe use of an automated external defibrillator
• test and maintenance of machine
• charge and change battery

Prerequisites

Minimum age for participants is 14 years.

Classes

Conducted regularly at Surry Hills, branch offices or on-site on request.

Certificate validity

One (1) year.
