Anaphylaxis Training

 

Course description

This training session teaches you to recognise and manage an anaphylactic reaction including the use of the adrenaline auto-injector (eg. Epipen).

 

Course duration

Two hours.

 

Content

  • identification of the signs and symptoms of an anaphylactic reaction
  • the avoidance and preventative measures to take for children with severe allergies
  • management of a severe allergic reaction including the use of the adrenaline auto-injector (eg. Epipen)
  • risk management planning

 

Prerequisites

Nil.

Resuscitation training including CPR is recommended either before or after this training.

 

Classes

Conducted at Burwood, Gosford and Newcastle or on request for group bookings.

 

Price

$400 per group (max 24 people) inc GST

 

Assessment

Practical: Use of the adrenaline auto-injector (eg. Epipen), risk management planning
