First Aid Volunteers on Duty

 

St John is part of a worldwide organisation.

 

First Aiders volunteer their time to provide First Aid services at community, sporting and cultural events. These events include New Years Eve and Australia Day celebrations, football games and ANZAC Day services.

 

St John's First Aid volunteers are professional medical officers and highly-trained First Aiders dedicated to making our community a safer place. There are both Adult and Junior/Cadet programs available, as well as a range of roles and training.

 

Yearly facts & stats:

  • There are approximately 2,400 first aid volunteers in NSW.
  • There are 107 First Aid Services divisions in NSW.
  • St John volunteers treat over 35,000 casualties for minor and major injuries.
  • St John volunteers contribute in excess of 160,000 hours of first aid services.
  • St John volunteers spend more than 107,000 hours in training.
